Before the Transition, water arrived on demand. After it, water became the lens through which every other priority became clear.
We began keeping records when we realized memory alone could not be trusted. The act of recording imposed a discipline that survival alone did not.
Communication is philosophical before it is technical. The act of transmitting is an assertion that connection remains possible.
